Sarah's story - the beginning....
It was a cold wet Monday morning in January, a young girl was waiting for a bus to take her on a 40 minute journey to work.
"I wonder how long the bus is going to be?" She thought.
"Will it be full like the last one?"
Just at that moment Sarah saw a driving school car going passed with a happy looking learner driver and instructor.
"I bet they're nice and cosy, with the car heater on." Sarah thought.
"I wish I could drive myself to work, then I would be nice and cosy as well. I could even look forward to going to work if I had a nice warm car to drive, and the weekends could be exciting, I could go to the seaside for a change".
That evening, after an uncomfortable bus ride on the way home from work. the person next to her was pressing to close to her, the person behind her was sneezing all over the passengers, another person was eating fish and chips.
"There must be a better way to travel home from work!" She exclaimed quietly in her head.
Sarah switched on her computer, when she arrived home and decided to search the internet for driving schools. She wanted to know how much the lessons would cost and how did she go about starting lessons.
Sarah picked out five likely driving schools and checked each website in turn, ready to make notes. To her surprise only two of her five possible choices were actually driving schools, the others were driving school directories with missing or broken links and you needed a degree in computers to work out anything useful.
One of the driving schools she managed to contact was offering cheap driving lessons for the first five and then full price for the rest. They did not have a specialist instructor for nervous learners. Sarah was very nervous about all things, never mind driving a car.
She thought the first few cheap lessons were just a gimmick. So she decided to go with a driving instructor who specialises in the teaching of nervous students and he says I could pass my driving test before the end of the month. Sarah rose to the excitment of it all.
"Just think I could be driving by the end of the month." She said to herself.
Sarah booked her forty hour intensive driving course and was driving by the end of the week. She could drive from A to B quite good, change gears, go around roundabouts, deal with hill starts and traffic lights. She had even been on a dual carriageway driving at 70 mph. Reversing around a corner, parallel parking and 3-point turns were all tasks Sarah looked forward to carrying out.
"When can I take my driving test?" Sarah said excitedly to her driving instructor.
"You are driving very well and you should be able to take your test by the end of the month" Her instructor replied.
After a few top up lessons on the days before her test, Sarah was now ready to give it a go.
On the day of her driving test Sarah felt calm and at ease with it all. She knew that she had been well trained and everything would go the way her driving instructor had described. There would be no nasty surprises. She was confident but not overly complacent. She knew what she had to do.
"I am pleased to tell you that you have passed your driving test" said her driving examiner.
"You have only been marked with two driving faults. The first one was when you checked your blindspot a little on the late side and the second one was when you missed an opportunity to proceed on a roundabout."
One month from thinking about driving a car, Sarah was now driving her own car to work, with the heater on and going places at the weekend, maybe in the summer she will go to the seaside.
You can be like Sarah, all you have to do is to contact me with your requirements and you could be passing your test a lot sooner than you think.
